Say hello to our amazing stockists Kings Street Cyclery, a wildly popular family owned store. We asked owner William a few questions about the business and his top scooting tips.

Tell us a bit about your store - King Street Cyclery?

King Street Cyclery was started in 1979 as a small bike shop at the top end of King Street Newtown. As a family owned business, we have served the inner city for almost 40 years and our philosophy has always been… have fun! Whether it’s on a bike or a scooter, nothing is better than to get those legs working, endorphins cracking and suck in some air. If you don’t like working on your bike or scooter, we’re more than happy to do the work for you, so you can spend more time having FUN.

In early 2017 we moved our store to 16 Murray St Marrickville, opposite the Metro Shopping Centre. Our new location offers the convenience of onsite customer parking and is close to St Peters Station and the bus stops.

What's your favourite thing about Micro?

Our favourite thing about Micro Scooters is the quality of their product, a brilliant design concept. After sales service is exceptional, their team are true believers. Our customers both kids & adults love the Micro Scooter Range.

What's your local tip for where to go?

Our local area is spoilt for choice. For the inexperienced rider, you can’t go past Sydney Park…lots of hills, paths and different terrain. For the experienced scooter rider, you must try the Sydenham Green Skate Park voted as the #1 hot spot to go. Recently opened, it has the challenges even for the experienced rider.

Where is a great place to scoot?

We are also living on the doorstep of one the best Harbours in the World, sights to see from Newtown to BlackWattle Bay Glebe, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay the list is endless

What's your guilty pleasure?

Enjoying a chicken kebab from the Sultan’s Table on Enmore Road on a Saturday night; of course, it must come with their delicious garlic sauce.
