Tell us a bit about your store - Entropy?

We first opened our doors in 2007 with a retail shopfront in Townsville, North Queensland. Due to the great response we received, we then expanded to open an online store 12 months later. We have a beautiful retail shop at the front, and Santa’s workshop at the back where the Elves look after our online customers.

We are all about getting children active, whether physically or mentally. Our focus is on quality toys and products to engage mind and body so that children get out from behind their TV screens and computer screens, and go and play.

What's your favourite thing about Micro?

There is a lot to love about Micro! The first thing that comes to mind is the quality – it’s unbeatable. We have customers who have had their Micro scooters for 5 years and counting, which is amazing. The range is fantastic – there is something for everyone! Micro is always coming out with design improvements, new colour combinations, and new features.

What's your local tip for where to go?

North Queensland has so much to offer! The local hang out spot of choice is definitely The Strand – a seaside foreshore with magnificent Magnetic Island views, a water park for the little ones, restaurants and coffee shops. Castle Hill is the heart of the city and offers a bird’s eye view of Townsville. It’s popular with both the fitness fanatics who walk it every day, and the tourists.

What's your guilty pleasure?

Coffee – without a doubt! I only allow myself one barista coffee a day, but I really really enjoy it. Especially enjoyable if done after an early morning bike ride and I can share the coffee with friends without having to bolt off to do the school run!

Tell us 3 things you want to tick off your bucket list?

Go back to the Tour de France. I last went in 1999. I am ticking this item off this year, as I head back there in July – it’s getting close!

Complete the Cape to Cape. This is a mountain bike stage race in Cape Town where I used to live. My husband did the inaugural Cape To Cape the year we left South Africa, and I have always wanted to do it.

Learn Spanish. I have always felt quite inadequate that I am not bilingual. I started to learn Spanish many years ago when I was travelling a lot as a sport scientist. It is a most beautiful language, and spoken in so many countries.
