We're a couple of weeks into 2018 and lots of us will have made a bunch of New Year's resolutions. If you're anything like us, you might have already started falling off whichever wagon it was you were on. On New Year's Eve it seemed so possible that going to the gym 4 times a week would happen, and that a paleo diet would be super fun and easy. Apparently only 8% of us are likely to succeed with our resolutions. But we want to change that, and think we can.
Not to mention that we have found three gusty individuals who are willing to talk (or in this case) scoot the talk and stick to their New Year’s resolutions. They are our Micro New Year's Ambassadors & everyone’s inspiration on how to keep up their fitness goals easily... on a Micro Scooter.
Say hello to our Micro NY Ambassadors
Top 5 resolutions of 2018:
- Stay fit and healthy
- Lose weight
- Enjoy life to the fullest
- Spend less, save more
- Spend more time with family and friends
And how micro can help you keep them:
Stay fit and health & Lose weight
Scooting burns 300 calories an hour - equivalent to 1lb a week weight loss, or a couple of lattes a day. That's nearly double walking (149 cal), and more than cycling (270 cal).
The best way to make a lasting change and make being fit and healthy a permanent part of your life is to incorporate fitness into your daily routine. The easier, quicker and more fun it is the more likely you'll be to turn it into a lifelong habit. It takes time to see changes in your fitness and your shape and we often give up before we get there because we make it too time consuming or expensive or just no fun.
Making changes to activities we already do rather than trying to fit more in is a fail-safe way to make it work. Instead of walking or driving the kids to school try scooting. Same with your work commute; scoot to the train or scoot instead of the bus and boom! that's your New Years resolution kept - for good.
Enjoy life to the fullest
Pay close attention to the joy on your kids' gorgeous little faces when they're scooting. It's exactly what you'll feel - I kid you not - when you're scooting with them. Go on, embrace your inner child - it'll put a smile on your dial.
Spend less, save more
