    Very squeaky

Had it for about two weeks, rides well.

However a very audible squeak whenever it goes over any bumps.

Manual doesn't describe what I should oil the springs with? Presuming that oil will fix it.

    Micro Scooters NZ

    Hi Colin,

    Thanks for your feedback.

You're right that does sound strange and we wouldn't expect that to happen. Let's get to the bottom of this!

Please flick us through a video of your scooter making this sound, alongside your proof of purchase and serial number (above the swiss logo on the folding block) and then we can assess what maybe going on from our side. Please email this information through to info@microscooters.com.au.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards, Hannah

    Almost perfect but has issues...

My 1st folding kick scooter back. Got it back in July-2020. Great fun scooting it around my neighborhood but it does have some issues.

    1. Spring near back wheel makes squeaky sound during ride when kicking the ground. Other user makes same comment. Will try to add lubricate oil to spring latter as suggested by Micro. Got used to the sound.

    2. Front wheel is supposed to have a suspension spring as well but can never tell if it's working. Feels like nothing is there to absorb impact. No deal breaker

    3. Had great difficulty folding the scooter by pressing the 2 buttons. Managed to fold it a few times by luck. Thought about returning this to Micro but finally figure out how to fold it smoothly two weeks ago. Apparently my one has "some special defect/feature", I have to press 3 buttons at the same time to fold it :O. The third button is from the safety clamp. Still no deal breaker so OK with it.

    4. OK this one is not really design issue. Riding this downhill can be dangerous. For people who just start learning how to ride it, DON'T. Just get down & walk. My first time riding it downhill, I fly out as brake is not working due to slippery pavement after rain & scooter accelerating out of control (big NO NO, my fault). One can still ride it downhill, just requires reflex of stepping on rear brake to roll down slowly from start, if not working, brake with foot ASAP!. Or simply stop & walk if don't feel safe.

Overall, quite happy with the product. Looking forward to use this in…

    Micro Scooters NZ

    Hi Sam,

Thank you for your feedback, we really do appreciate it.

Yes, do lubricate the rear spring and this should mitigate the 'squeak'. We do recommend that you look after your Micro Scooter much like a bike and go around and tighten all the nuts and bolt, lubricate parts and give it a wipe down every few weeks. This just ensures that your scooter does remain in tip top shape.

The front suspension should absolutely be working! It does help to absorb all the lumps and bumps in the footpath/gravel terrain. Naturally, it doesn't make the ride completely smooth over all terrains, it helps to smooth it out and make it more comfortable :)

The recent edition of the Suspension does require both buttons on the folding block to be pushed and the clamp released. This is a safety measure and ensures everything is locked in place when riding or carrying the scooter.

It sounds like you've been on some awesome adventures on your Suspension! However, we don't recommend riding it in the rain or over wet terrain. Safety first!

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards, Hannah

    Loving It

I bought the scooter to scoot with the kids & I am having a blast. The scooter is well made, sturdy & holds my weight easily, even though I about the max weight. My 3 year old often jumps on with me & scooter handles it well. Would highly recommend Micro Scooters.

    Great Scooter

Great scooter, suspension takes the edge off the hard bumps on footpaths. Fold down handle makes it easy to take in the car. Larger wheels take the bumps in uneven footpaths well.

Now I can almost keep up with my 3yr old !

    Good fun

I love the scooter. A couple things; Within a week the rear wheel was incredibly worn. I'll need a new one in the near future. I am using it to keep up with my four year old on a Micro Trixx scooter so I'm breaking all the time. My son's scooter has a much tighter turning circle and feels smoother somehow. The suspension is great, I can scoot right over things that would have stopped me with the smaller wheel 14-15?cm older Micro that I had been riding. It is very heavy and really needs a strap for carrying around. You really don't would want to carry it far. It flies downhill and I need to get a helmet because it is fast. I wouldn't want to use it in the wet. I had to buy Converse Hitops for ankle protection. I love that I can keep up with my son. Buy a spare wheel and bell when you purchase it.
