Micro Mum Stevie on Creating Awesome Memories
We want to help create memories that will last a lifetime and share the fun and adventures of kids. Stevie @mytribeofsix explores the memories that she has with her Mum and how she brings that happiness in to her relationship with her kids with the importance of doing what they love.
Between you and me she has some great advice, fun ideas not to mention easy ways to create those times together – get on an adults scooter join them in the fun, share what you love, bake, colour and sing. She has many a gem to share that can be added in to everyday life without having to fit extra time in to your day.
What are your favourite memories of spending time with your mum?
My mum wad a bit of a bad ass, she use to rid a Harley Davidson and should would turn up to my school on it, then take us for rides. That was pretty cool when I think back now. At the time I was actually mortified each time haha. "Mum, why can’t you be like other Mums haha" I'm so glad she wasn't in hindsight. I bet my kids feel the same about me now and will thank me for it later. Otherwise is was just back tickles, I use to just love hanging out with her and she would tickle my back and tell me stories.
What do you think will be your kid’s favourite times with you?
I think my kids will look back at their childhood and love all the adventures we've had. We go out and explore somewhere new each weekend. If not that, it’s how silly we always are. We dance around the house and sing silly songs we make up - it’s the simple things in our home.
What do you do for fun with your children?
We love getting out of the house; scooting, skate boarding, hiking and hanging out at the beach. If we are stuck inside then it’s cooking, colouring, singing and dancing.

What do your kids think of you scooting?
They think I’m a fun mum... I’m sure it’s got nothing to do with the song i always sing to them "My name is Mum, mum, mum... I'm lots of fun, fun, fun... ".
What adventures have you been on since getting your scooter?
We like to scoot along the walking tracks by the beach, to the coffee shop (for the essentials) then scoot back to the park for a play or swim.
What is the best thing about scooting with your child?
When I get out and scoot with the kids it makes me feel like a big kid again too. We are just having fun and I’m not worrying about all the boring grown up stuff in that moment. We really just get to let loose and enjoy life together.
