The Micro Downtown is built to harness the ultimate efficiency and comfort of scooting. The quick kick-to-fold feature enables the scooter to fold or stand alone in seconds. The sort after wide set handlebars completed with a handbrake is awesome for extra control and safety. Large 200mm high quality polyurethane wheels iron out the lumps and bumps on the footpath enabling you to go further, faster with less work.
The wide one piece handle bar and wide deck create a super comfortable and super smooth ride over short or long distances. With the added safety feature of the hand brake - the Downtown is a one of its kind - safe, fast and easy to maneuver whether to town or keeping up with the kids.

Well built, easy to use. Only criticism would be the hight of the deck. Could be a little
Higher to prevent scraping

I can only compare this scooter to the other one we bought (Speed+ Deluxe with 180mm wheels). Compared to that scooter, this one is heavier but more stable, and the kick to fold mechanism is so much more convenient. The handlebars are nice.
The front brake is ok, nothing amazing. The rear brake is noticably weaker than the Speed+, as it has a less grippy brake "pad" on the inside of the fender. I prefer the stronger rear brake on the Speed+. The net result is that braking using front and rear brakes is no stronger than the Speed+ with just its rear brake.
Ground clearance is low, expect a few scratches on the underside of the deck.
The black colour scheme is a bit boring alongside the pretty Speed+ Deluxe.

Such good build quality, the pressed wheels really give it some speed with very little effort

I love this scooter. I already owned the Speed+ from micro but upgraded to this one as I use it for commuting. I love that the deck is lower and wider as it makes for a much more ergonomic ride.
I don't find the scooter too low as some others have, but I just usually lift up slightly when going over curbs or bumps as this is what I did with my previous scooter to prevent grinding.
I think the wider handlebars provide a lot of comfort and the handbrake is great when you need to reduce speed. It is also very easy to pick up speed due to the large wheels and makes for a much smoother ride.
The only thing I can fault it on was that there was a scratch on the side of mine before I had even fully removed it from the box. This is purely cosmetic though.
If you are commuting, I can highly recommend this scooter.
